See how paths can overlap.

Select a fictional crossing. Explore possible vehicle paths and what happens when location, heading, or signal information is uncertain.

This cannot determine when it is safe to cross. No live signals, vehicle detection, GPS, compass, or camera. All geometry, lanes, positions, and indication examples below are invented. This is not a map of Five Corners and is not for use while crossing.

Illustrative five-leg junction

Crossing A · manually selected

Arms A–E are fictional.
Not surveyed. Not to scale.
Fictional five-arm intersectionRoads, selected crossing, possible movement arrows and a simulated phone position. The text list below provides the same movement examples.↑ Fictional northArrows are possible paths, never detected vehicles.

The illustration does not identify real vehicles or actual signal phases.

01 / Choose the crossing

Your selection is explicit.

02 / Simulate phone position

Heading means the top of the fictional phone, not the direction a person is looking. No sensor permissions are requested.

03 / Understand possible conflicts

Paths that touch crossing A

Every conventional movement into or out of the selected arm can overlap its crossing in this fictional layout. A path being possible does not mean a vehicle is present.

Eight examples, not an exhaustive hazard model. Wrong-way travel, U-turns, bikes, reversing vehicles, emergency movements and other violations can create additional paths. A real WALK indication does not guarantee an absence of conflicts.

    04 / Data can fail

    No live feed is connected.

Manual sample age, not a running clock. The 2-second expiry below is only a UI demonstration rule, not a validated latency requirement.

    Vehicle presence: UNKNOWN
Neither a signal feed nor these paths detect every vehicle. “No detection” would not mean “no vehicle.”

    About this fictional app demonstration

This concept explores crossing selection and possible movement paths at an invented five-leg junction. It does not reproduce the real geometry or signal operation of Five Corners. Location, heading and signal scenarios are manually simulated. No live traffic or signal source is connected.

About this demo’s evidence and privacy

Only the interface has been locally exercised. The illustration has no surveyed geometry, real timing plan, vehicle model, automated crossing selection, or field validation. Changing the indication scenario never removes possible movement paths. The app requests no sensors, makes no background data requests, and stores no selections, location history, photos, or identifiers. The hosting provider may process ordinary web request metadata. Reloading resets the demo.

Review this at a desk. No start-crossing button, countdown, safe/unsafe score, crossing instruction, or traffic-control connection exists.
